It's
really such a heavy task to locate your high school classmates
after graduation. I know the feeling since I've always been
the ''self-appointed'' reunion organizer and after a few hits
and misses, I have already decided to stop and ''pass on the
crown'' (not surprisingly, no one dared to take it).
Well, the Internet is not only helping connect the world in
information but also it is now bridge the gap among old friends
who want to get in touch with one another.
Alumni.net promises to “reunite old school friends”. Through
the web page, you can get in touch with your old friends whether
they are in the Philippines or abroad. You can even exchange
photos.
The schools and organizations are divided into countries. Like
in the Philippines page, it is divided into provinces and cities.
I was surprised to find my alma mater, Muntinlupa National High
School, already registered although there are only a few registrants.
What’s interesting about alumni.net is that its services are
free. You only have to register as member by filling out the
form, choose your organization (either a high school, college/university,
company or generic organization) and complete your organization
listing by typing in the year you graduated, degree or position.
You can also post messages in the Bulletin Board section of
your organization.
Alumni.net is a good way to reach out to your friends around
the globe. The registration process is simple and its free.
The help area discusses frequently-asked-questions (FAQs).
Forget your dusty telephone directory. Register now and find
your long-lost friends wherever they are.
Bottom line: With alumni.net, I may retake the crown and organize
a reunion!
